Hope for justice
Judge Terrence Boyle’s decision concerning the WakeMed settlement raises my hopes that there will be some end to the frequent resolution of possible criminal activity by having the organization pay to relieve the participants of any legal possibility.
Corporations should not be able to buy get-out-of-jail cards for the responsible humans. The intoxicated truck driver involved in an accident would not be protected the same way. I would love to see what the Supreme Court would do with this decision.
