No-good guards
In addition to the Wake County school board’s inability to make decisions, its thoughts of putting unarmed guards in our schools takes the cake. What are the members thinking?
Once an intruder sees a guard, he’ll know that the guard is not armed and make him his first target. Without the guard having some form of protection, what good is it going to do?
How does an unarmed guard protect a school if the school has trailers? It’s an open invitation to not bother going inside a school building. Head for the trailers first.
This line of thinking by our school board members could make the next school shooting even more gruesome than the recent Sandy Hook shooting.
