Hannah DeMaioNewton of Raleigh received an honorable mention in Cricket League’s July 2012 photography competition.

Her photo of an abandoned building nearly engulfed in foliage appeared in the November/December issue of Cricket magazine along with other winners of that month’s contest, which had a “Summertime” theme.

Hannah, 12, is a seventh-grader at Wakefield Middle School and the daughter of Dan and Sandy DeMaioNewton.
