Brain trumps beauty

In the skating rink scene of the film “Rocky,” Adrian philosophically states that of two life choices – developing one’s brain or developing one’s body – her mother urged her toward the brain option.

The Jan. 7 article “Coffee with a sexy smile” evoked this scene with the owner of Cup O’ Jane provocatively posed behind the grammatically deficient tip sign where the word “barista” is possessive when it should be plural. Maybe the customers are too distracted to point out the error, but since the owner is not opposed to removing things, perhaps she can remove that apostrophe, too.
