Chapel Hill bomb threat unfounded, police say; mall reopens

— Chapel Hill police have reopened University Mall after investigating a note declaring the presence of a bomb, according to a police release. The note was found late Monday afternoon in the men’s restroom at the mall at 201 S. Estes Drive.

Police briefly closed Estes Drive at Willow Drive and Fordham Boulevard and Willow Drive at U.S. 15-501 during the investigation
