Savory-sweet turnover is perfect brunch meal

Crispy Turnovers with Apple, Bacon, and Caramelized Onions.

When I’m feeling indulgent, nothing quite hits the spot like a buttery, flaky turnover. Particularly one stuffed with such delicious offerings as this one.

The secret weapon to these turnovers is store-bought puff pastry. It’s super easy to use and ever so slightly easier than making our own. Take it out of the freezer when you start cooking the filling ingredients, and it will be ready to use by the time you’re done.

This is also an easy recipe to adapt to your schedule. You can prepare the entire turnover the night before, leave them on baking sheets in the fridge overnight, and bake them in the morning. You could even freeze the unbaked turnovers and have them ready whenever the brunch mood strikes. Just let them thaw on the counter while the oven preheats.
