RALEIGH — A one-car accident closed southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard for a time early Tuesday after the vehicle crashed into supports for the Fairview Road overpass.
The impact threw the driver from the car, but police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening when an EMS crew rushed him to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.
The crash happened about 4:30 a.m., and the lanes were closed for a little over an hour.
