Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Wednesday identified two people found shot to death inside a West Charlotte home as Derrick Antoine Teasley, 32, and Shakendra Nicole Covington, 22.

Police responded to a 911 call to 4912 Winchester Street at 12:16 p.m. after a female caller said she had found two people inside the home with gunshot wounds.

Medic officials responded to the residence and pronounced both people dead. Homicide detectives are investigating the deaths as a domestic incident and are not looking for any other suspects.

Police said the victims knew each other and said the shootings did not appear to be random acts of violence.
