Clark Groseth: Missing money pot

Missing money pot

I reread Bob Luddy’s Jan. 25 Point of View column “Try spending cuts, no income tax and free-market schools,” and it still makes no sense to me.

He wants to eliminate all state income taxes (whacking out $12 billion or 50 percent of our state budget). Then he wants to spend money to provide scholarships for kids from kindergarten through college. Then he wants to reduce spending and eliminate “unfriendly” business taxes.

Somewhere along the line, there has to be some money coming in to run the state government. Where does that money come from? Maybe that part of his column didn’t make the cut.
