Historical hints
Gov. Pat McCrory’s remarks about the future of higher education and the General Assembly’s proposed actions for public education remind me of the actions of Oliver Cromwell and the Roundheads when they ruled England. If McCrory has his way, of course, there will not be anyone left in North Carolina who will have any knowledge of who Oliver Cromwell and the Roundheads were.
