Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers have teamed to develop a new mobile technology app that will help people learn more about local crime and submit reports about criminal activities.

With the Crime Stoppers mobile app, people will be able to submit crime tips anonymously. And the app features from of CMPD’s most-wanted suspects, and it can guide people to their nearest law enforcement office. The smart device application also has one-touch dialing, to contact Crime Stoppers or police

CMPD says it is the first law enforcement officer in the Southeast to use the innovative technology.

The app is available at iTunes, Google Play or the Blackberry Platform.
