Raleigh police arrest three men after string of gas station, hotel robberies

— Police arrested three men Wednesday night on charges that one of them robbed the same business on Jan. 28 and Feb. 2, two of them robbed two businesses Wednesday, and all three robbed a third business Wednesday.

Police, working on information they got about the first heist, were waiting for them when the trio came to the house where one of them lived, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

Khaliq Roberto Miranda, 20, of 7660 Pangea Lane in Raleigh was charged with multiple counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy and one count of assault.

Joshua David Goodson, 20, of 259 Genoa Lane in Clayton, was charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of conspiracy stemming from three robberies Wednesday.

Adrian Lamar Oden, 20, was charged with one count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.

Police took the three into custody when they came to Oden’s home at 637 Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh after the third of Wednesday’s incidents, Sughrue said.

A Citgo store on Poole Road was robbed on Jan. 28 and Feb. 2.

Wednesday, there were robberies at the America’s Best Value hotel on Capital Boulevard, a Homestead Suites hotel on Appliance Court and a BP convenience store on Olympia Drive., Sughrue and arrest warrants said.

Several of the robberies involved a single-barreled shotgun, arrest warrants said.

Miranda was ordered held on $1.3 million bond, Goodson on an $800,000 bond and Oden on a $300,000 bond.
