Photo says it all
Judge Terrence Boyle is a breath of fresh air regarding his handling of WakeMed’s fraudulent “pig-at-the-trough” profit motivation, overbilling Medicare to the tune of millions for same-day services.
The N&O’s Feb. 6 front-page photo of WakeMed CEO Bill Atkinson and WakeMed chairman Tom Oxholm says it all; shock and dismay at being caught and unable to buy their way out. It is gutless that these two heavily compensated senior level executives have attempted to blame a middle manager for the widespread fraud perpetrated by the company they run.
Senior corporate leadership is about accountability, and they must be held accountable by judge Boyle.Send them to prison where they belong.
