Chris Czerapowicz recorded a double-double with 10 points as the Davidson Wildcats cruised by the Appalachian State Mountaineers, 87-52, in Southern Conference action at Belk Arena.
Czerapowicz contributed 11 rebounds in the Wildcats' (17-7,12-1 SoCon) victory. De'Mon Brooks was two boards shy of a double-double with 13 points. Jake Cohen and Tom Droney added 14 points apiece as Davidson won a seventh consecutive game.
For the Mountaineers (10-13, 6-6), Nathan Healy contributed 13 points and six rebounds. Tevin Baskin added 12 points and three boards as Appalachian State had a two-game winning streak snapped.
Davidson made 65.2 percent from the floor including 7-of-14 beyond the arc in the first half. Appalachian State was held to a mere 1-of-6 from long-range as Davidson took a 49-23 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Mountaineers continued to struggle, shooting a 8-of-27 from the floor as Davidson coasted to the 35-point victory.
Davidson controlled the boards, 42-32, and dominated points in the paint, 38-16 on the night.
