Statistically speaking: Small-business owners and their social media preferences

A majority of small-business owners prefer LinkedIn as a marketing tool for their companies, according to a survey of 835 small-business CEOs conducted by The Wall Street Journal and Vistage International. Here’s how social-media channels ranked in the survey:

41 percent of small-business owners said LinkedIn has the most potential to help their companies.

3 percent of small business owners prefer Twitter.

16 percent picked YouTube. The video service topped Facebook, picked by 14 percent.
