Bobcats Observations

Published: February 13, 2013

• Former North Carolina star Tyler Hansbrough got his first start of the season Wednesday, replacing Pacers forward David West, who was out with a scratched cornea. “Psycho-T’’ took a shot to the face in the lane, but it wasn’t from nemesis Gerald Henderson. Center Bismack Biyombo slapped at Hansbrough’s head trying to defend a drive.

Biyombo was charged with a flagrant foul on the play.

• Bobcats power forward Tyrus Thomas, who’s owed about $18 million over the next two seasons, watched the last game before All-Star break in a suit. He was the only Bobcats’ player deactivated.

• The Pacers’ Roy Hibbert was among the NBA’s best centers last season and was rewarded with a superb contract. He’s way off his game this season, out of sync on offense and committing some clumsy fouls.
