Jack Lawrence and Tommy Edwards have played music together for more than 40 years. In that time, they’ve earned well-deserved reputations as two of North Carolina’s most accomplished flat-pick-style guitarists. Lawrence played alongside the late Doc Watson, touring and recording with the Tar Heel legend for 27 years. Edwards picks guitar, writes songs, and sings with Bluegrass Experience, the popular quintet he co-founded in the early ‘70s. On Sunday, the two pickin’ pals will sit side by side, swapping tunes and tales at the Rooster’s Wife in Aberdeen. www.theroosterswife.org
