The Miami Marlins signed first baseman Casey Kotchman to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training on Friday.
Kotchman, 29, hit .229 with 12 homers and 55 RBI in 142 games with the Cleveland Indians last season.
If Kotchman makes the Marlins' opening-day roster, they will be his seventh team in the past six seasons. Since 2008, he has suited up with the Angels, Braves, Red Sox, Mariners, Rays and Indians.
