Morrisville man pleads guilty to manufacturing child pornography

Published: February 15, 2013

— A Morrisville man faces 15 to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty in federal court this week to manufacturing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Nathaniel Beltran Grinstead of Grantsboro Lane produced child pornography involving at least two children in multiple locations, according to federal prosecutors.

In December 2011, Morrisville police charged Grinstead, 37, with sexual exploitation of a minor after they accused him of photographing and videotaping a nude 14-year-old girl in sexually provocative poses. The FBI and federal and Wake prosecutors were involved in the case as well.

Grinstead is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court in June.
