Willena Welsh, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Tuesday, February 19th, 2013. An independent wise lady who truly cherished her family will be missed by all of them. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, fishing, gardening and walking the beach collecting seashells. She passed these and other joys down to the next generations. Her family and friends will treasure the memories and miss the unfinished song of this incredible individual.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Wake County and to the "Dream Team" of caregivers who walked with us in giving her back to her Heavenly Father.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Welsh is survived by her son, K. Gordon Welsh, Jr. and his wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Tammy Welsh Smolan and husband, Mark, Kenneth Gordon Welsh, III, David Bradford Welsh and wife, Lynne, and Christy Jones Anderson and husband, Karl; great-grandchildren, Allie Meris Smolan, Whitney Brooke Smolan, Kenneth Logan Welsh, Thomas Hunter Welsh, Brittney Laurel Welsh, Charlotte Winston Welsh, Bradford Cade Welsh, Sparks Goodman Anderson, Sidney Joyce Anderson and Holly Nicole Jones; her brother, Lex Marion Moser; many nieces and nephews.
