Don Nichols, 76, of Preston, MN passed away from leukemia on 2/18/13.

He was born in Winona, MN on 11/19/36 to Vernon Adry and Francis Geneva Nichols. He graduated from St. Charles HS in 1954. He married his wife of 56 years, Ellen J. Thomas, on 7/24/57. He joined IBM in 1956 which brought him to Raleigh where he spent the next 30 years raising his family. Don retired as a Quality Engineer in 1992 returning home to Minnesota shortly thereafter.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, his children, Denny Nichols of Henderson, NC, Denese (Timothy) Lecy of Byron, MN, DeeAnn “DD” (Jim) Himli of Fountain, MN, and Deb (Jason) Hare of Wykoff, MN his 5 grandchildren, and 4 step-grandchildren.
