Frederick Franklin Faircloth, III

Frederick Franklin Faircloth, III, formerly of Smithfield, NC, died on February 19, 2013. Born in Johnston County on May 9, 1958, he was the son of the late Frederick Franklin Faircloth, II and Grace McLeod Faircloth. Freddie, as he was known, attended SSS High School and played in the marching band. A proud band parent, he remained active in the SSS band backers and enjoyed assisting with practice.

A memorial service will be conducted at Whitley Memorial UMC on Saturday February 23rd at 10:30 am. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are: daughters Melissa Faircloth of Chapel Hill, Beth Faircloth of Greenville, and April Faircloth of Raleigh; cousins, Susie Gardner of Clayton, Cliff Faircloth of Greensboro. Frederick was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Medford.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SSS marching band at Smithfield-Selma High School, Attn: Band Director, 700 Booker Dairy Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
