Nellie Gray Strickland Hocutt, 89, died Wednesday. She was a native of Johnston County. Nellie was a beloved wife and mother who was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Walter Cleveland Hocutt, children, Sammy, Lacy, David, & Randy Hocutt, several siblings, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Funeral service 11 am, Saturday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by children, Cleveland Hocutt, Randy Hocutt, both of Wendell, Johnny Hocutt (Patsy) Wake Forest, and Bonnie Moore of Zebulon, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren & 9 great-great grandchildren.
