Haywood Bronze Bowden

Mr. Haywood Bronze Bowden, age 88 of Benson-Hardee Rd., Benson died Friday, February 22, 2013 at his son’s home.

Mr. Bowden was born February 12, 1925 in Harnett County the son of the late Dallas Floyd Bowden, Sr. & Bessie Stewart Bowden and is preceded in death by His wife, Ada Stephenson Bowden, a daughter, Lydia Ann Bowden, Brothers, Jack & D.F Bowden and 2 sisters, Pat Denning & Doris Tart, also a half-brother, Evis Bowden & a half-sister, Edna Baker.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm Sunday February 24, 2013 at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church in Angier with Rev. Timmy Blair & Mr. Mark Tart officiating.

Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Danny Bowden & (wife) Angela of Benson, NC and Phil Bowden & (wife) Fay of Benson, NC; 5 Grandchildren: Kyle Page & (wife) Sara, Andrew Bowden, Morgan Bowden, Jeanna Page, Zachary Bowden; A Sister: Lucille Steele of Wilson; 2 Brothers: Sherrill Bowden & (Wife) Clara of Coats and Harold Bowden & (wife) Linda of Benson; and A Special Friend: Lou Casey.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 23, 2013 from 6 – 8 PM at Cromartie Miller & Lee Funeral Home in Dunn, N.C.

Memorial maybe made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440 Piney Grove Rd., Angier N.C. 27501 or to one's charity.
