KNIGHTDALE — A fire late Friday at the Sol Dorado Mexican Grill in Knightdale caused no injuries but an estimated $300,000 to $500,000 worth of damage to the restaurant, Fire Chief Timothy Guffey said Saturday.
The fire at 903 N. Smithfield Road caused smoke damage to nearby businesses, said Guffey. The restaurant next door, The Sports Page, was closed Saturday for cleanup and likely would be closed Sunday, he said.
The cause of the fire, which began around 11:30 p.m., is under investigation.
