Recap: LA Angels vs. Chicago Cubs

Brett Jackson tripled twice and Luis Valbuena homered in the second inning to help the Chicago Cubs cruise past the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 11-2, on Saturday in spring training action.

Chicago starter Travis Wood picked up the win, allowing one hit and striking out two batters over two innings. The Cubs used a five-run third inning to take control of the contest, while the team's remaining pitchers threw seven innings of scoreless baseball.

Erick Aybar and Hank Conger each knocked in a run in the first inning, and reliever Nick Maronde picked up the loss, allowing three runs and two hits.
