Miss Rachel Elizabeth Baden, was married to Captain Jonathan David Sherrill at 6 o’clock in the evening on Saturday, December 15, 2012. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hamrick Baden of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas B. Baden, of Asheville, North Carolina, and of the late Mr. Thomas B. Baden. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert W. Davison of New Orleans, Louisiana, and of the late Mr. Robert W. Davison.

Captain Sherrill is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael David Sherrill of Douglasville, Georgia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sherrill of Andrews, North Carolina, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Faulkenberry of Albemarle, North Carolina.

The marriage ceremony was celebrated at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, with the Reverend Kevin W. Martin officiating. A reception followed at the Doris Duke Center of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

The bride graduated from Duke University in 2003 and earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology in 2012 from the University of Alabama. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University and earned a master’s degree in 2012 from Trident University International. He is an active duty captain in the United States Air Force serving at the Birmingham Air National Guard Base.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Birmingham, Alabama.
