Dorothy “Dottie” Thurman Phillips, 72, beloved mother, went to be with her Lord and maker on Saturday, February 23 after a valiant fight against breast cancer.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

Survivors include her daughter, Marian P. Westbrook and husband Mike of Raleigh and son Douglas A. Phillips of Greenville; grandchildren, Heather W. Bui and husband Kevin and Phillip M. Westbrook; also survived by siblings and extended family in Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 7-9 pm Tuesday.
