Margaret Hodges Ferrell

Margaret Hodges Ferrell was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 29, 1924, the only child of parents Edwin Hodges and Mary Broyles Hodges.

She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Her education also included a Dietetic Internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. She is retired from Providence Hospital, Mobile, Alabama.

While living most of her life in Mobile, Alabama, she was a member of Government Street Presbyterian Church. Most recently she enjoyed her membership at First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, and has a life membership in the Presbyterian Women. Her retirement life in Raleigh was spent volunteering for her church and several local agencies.

She married David Keith Ferrell on October 18th, 1952 who preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by her son, David Keith Ferrell II and wife, Pat of Mountainside, NJ.; her daughter, Mary Margaret Faust, and husband, Kirk of Raleigh; grandchildren, Ashley Ferrell of Oakland, CA, Maggie Faust of New York, NY, and Berry Faust of Raleigh.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 1st at 2:00 pm in the Vanguard Class at First Presbyterian Church, 120 W. Hargett Street Raleigh, NC 27601. Graveside services will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
