Senate Bill 76 shows the touch of our ignorance caucus. By eliminating the vote of the state geologist, Republican lawmakers insure that they will not have to deal with informed, expert scientific opinion on matters where they have already made up their minds – such as the effects of pumping waste into deep wells.
