Man shot in the back at Raleigh home

— Police were looking for several people seen running from the scene of a pre-dawn shooting Friday that injured a man on North Fisher Street.

Tyquan Monzell General, 28, was shot in the back and taken to WakeMed in Raleigh, police said.

The incident was reported at 5:15 a.m. at a home at 303 N. Fisher St. east of downtown, police said.

Police want to question the people who ran. Police ask anyone with information that might assist detectives to either call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at 919-834-4357 or to go to the CrimeStoppers website at for instructions on how to report a tip online or by text message.
