Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Mann announce the engagement of their daughter, Ellen Bracey Mann, to Patrick Joseph O’Connor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. O’Connor of Richmond, Virginia.

Miss Mann is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russel L. Mann, and Mrs. Lois H. McBryde and the late Mr. Charles. M. McBryde, all of Sanford, North Carolina.

Mr. O’Connor is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel A. O'Connor, formerly of West Hartford, Connecticut, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Liebrich, formerly of Chicago, Illinois.

Miss Mann graduated from Ravenscroft School and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed with the General Electric Company.

Mr. O’Connor graduated from Benedictine High School and Villanova University. He is currently employed with Wells Fargo.

A September wedding is planned.
