Gladys Evelyn Harrod, 86, died February 26, 2013. She was born in Latrobe, PA on June 19, 1926 to the late Bertram J. and Gladys Wells Milner.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Dean Harrod and Paul Melvin Harrod; grandchildren, Stephen Douglas Harrod, Andrew Paul Harrod, Benjamin Leon Harrod, and Kenrda Lyn Harrod; great grandchildren, Victoria, Landon, Bentley, and Sadie; sister, Phyllis Marks; and daughter in law, Elizabeth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Leon Harrod; a sister, Doris Milner Hall; two brothers, Bertram ”Sonny” John and William Dale Milner; and a granddaughter Kimberly Lyn Harrod.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 2:00PM in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612. Immediately following the interment, a reception will be held at Mitchell Funeral Home.
