Juanita Pearce Martin, 98, formerly of 904 Eagle Rock Road, passed away at Wake Med on March 2, 2013. Juanita was born September 2, 1914 in Wake County to the late Melvin Pearce and Minda Rhodes Pearce. As long as her health permitted, she was a lifelong member of Hephzibah Baptist Church. For the past several years Juanita made her home at Wellington Nursing Center in Knightdale.

Burial: Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon

Surviving: are sons Charlie Theron Martin, Jr. (Faye) of Wendell, Rev. Larry K. Martin (Janet) of Brookneal, VA, and Tony M. Martin (Judy) of Wendell; 11 Grandchildren; and 21 Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Charlie Theron Martin, brother; Graham Pearce and sisters; Ramona P. Neal and Virginia P. Strickland.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, March 4, 2013 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at 2410 Pritchard Road, Clayton, NC 27527.
