Bad idea

I was in disbelief when I read the Feb. 9 article “540 Outer Loop will get faster.” Really?

Hasn’t there been a direct correlation between high speeds and vehicular accidents? What about putting the highway patrol on I-540 and ticketing the offenders exceeding the speed limit rather than enabling their speeding behavior and giving drivers the opportunity to travel at unsafe speeds?
