RALEIGH — A woman who was on foot in New Bern Avenue was hit by a sport utility vehicle and killed shortly before midnight Tuesday, police said.
The driver told police she did not see Anita Bridges, 53, whose address was listed as Anywhere, Raleigh, on a police report. Bridges’ condition was listed as impaired, and drugs or alcohol are suspected.
