Let them eat cake
In response to the March 4 article about carrots and cookies: I would also encourage students and their families to eat healthier. But does the School Health Advisory Council intend to supplement the budget of each school to compensate the loss of revenue that “Sweet Sales” provide each school, each and every year? Think a minute of school events, such as carnivalsand festivals. The draw would not be the same if carrots were served or sold, unless they were baked into a big carrot cake.
The school board needs to think this one over for a while and think about dollars and sense.
