RALEIGH — Someone bought a Powerball lottery ticket worth $2 million at a Food Lion in North Raleigh.
The $3 Power Play ticket matched all five white balls but not the red Powerball in Wednesday night’s drawing, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.
The winning ticket was sold at the Food Lion at 9101 Leesville Road. Players have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize.
The odds of matching the five white balls are 1 in 5.1 million. The winning numbers were 6, 10, 23, 41 and 45.
Powerball tickets are sold in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. North Carolina joined the game in 2006.
