Joshua Caleb Chavis, 20, of 805 Maurepas Drive passed away at UNC Hospitals on March 6, 2013. Joshua was born February 17, 1993 in Cumberland County to Larry David Chavis and Kimberly Thaggard Chavis. He graduated from Knightdale High School in 2012.

A celebration of Joshua’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Green Pines Baptist Church, 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Surviving: parents, Kimberly and Larry Chavis; sisters, Joy Solomon (Michael) of Greensboro, Jennifer Thacker (Stephen) of Huntersville; brothers, Tripp Warren (Doria) of Zebulon, Adam Chavis (Samantha) of Fayetteville, Ryan Chavis of Greensboro; maternal grandparents; H.L. Thaggard, Jr. (Margaret) of Raeford, Joy Smith (John) of Fayetteville; paternal grandmother, Lillian House of Stedman; nieces and Nephews, Jessica, Austin, Janet, Brooke, Kimberly, Savannah, Trinity, Jordan, Andrew, Aidan, Ashlyn, Elena, and Cooper.

Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Norman House, uncle, Jeff Thaggard; great uncle, Gary Thaggard and a nephew, Aaron Chavis.
