Mrs. Velma Lee Kearney Taylor died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the age of 80. After a long and difficult illness she passed peacefully while at her home.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward Taylor; daughter, Rhonda Carlile and husband, Ron; son, Reynold Taylor and wife, Cathy; granddaughters, Ragen Carlile and husband, Will Catterson, and Rayne Carlile and husband, Zouheir Boussaid; great-granddaughter, Addilee Catterson; a brother, Joshua Kearney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Vidant Hospice of Greenville for their care and support these past two years. Additionally, a special thanks to Linda Smith for the tender and loving care she has provided.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service and other times at the residence.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
