Labor’s rewards
If we follow your logic in the “Death and taxes" editorial March 3, the liberal mantra “tax the successful” mindset, wealthy people become rich solely by their luck and good fortune. The editorial never mentions that it’s quite possible for people to become wealthy through hard work, their intellect, using their skill set in the marketplace and living within their means.
What is scarier is that The N& O and liberals in general continually reinforce that the state is entitled to the fruit of a successful person’s lifetime of labor and knows how to spend it better than the individual. Therefore, let’s hope that Pat McCrory and the Republicans are successful in repealing the death tax.
