Double whammy
In regard to your March 5 article regarding storing fracking wastewater in Eastern North Carolina counties: I am amazed at some of the bizarre legislation coming from this General Assembly. The good citizens of these eastern counties should be very concerned about the possibility of this wastewater being stored there.
These counties would face a double whammy if we also allow offshore drilling.
The idea of storing wastewater in these counties must be rejected now for the sake of all those who live there and tourists who visit there. Our tourism and fishing industries have much to lose and little to gain with the passage of this legislation.
