Arlon Harper dropped a career-high 33 points to lead the top-seeded Charleston Southern Buccaneers to a 71-65 win over the Virginia Military Keydets to advance to the finals of the Big South Conference tournament.

Harper shot 5-of-8 from behind the arc and 8-of-8 from the foul line in the win. Saah Nimley helped out with 14 points, 12 rebounds and four assists for CSU (19-11). Paul Gombwer had eight points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Rodney Glasgow also had a career-high in the losing effort for VMI (14-17) with 31 points on 12-of-23 from the field. D.J. Covington netted 16 points and Stan Okoye registered a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

CSU will face the winner of Liberty and Gardner-Webb in the championship.
