Relocate races

Responding to the editorial about the city council limiting road races (“A line on Raleigh races” Feb. 21): I don’t think the parades are really that big a deal. But certainly the races are because blocking off Hillsborough Street cuts Raleigh in half, and there is no easy way to get from north to south going through town.

Once again the city council has wasted a huge amount of time dealing with an issue when the simple solution is to just relocate the races. Perhaps to the Dix property.
