A pedestrian walking down University Drive was struck and killed Sunday night, according to Durham police who were investigating the incident.
The crash took place on University Drive near Forest Hills Boulevard, police said. The victim, who was not identified, had been walking on University Drive when struck by a vehicle. The person died at the scene.
The investigation was being conducted by the city polices Traffic Services Unit. Police closed University Drive between Forest Hills Boulevard and Vickers Avenue.
