Olivia Rose McBurney

Olivia Rose McBurney, 19 of Raleigh, passed away, Friday, March 8, 2013 from injuries sustained in an accident. Olivia was born in Chesapeake, VA and was a graduate of Millbrook High School. She was very active and loved everything about the Special Olympics having been successful in soccer, basketball, volleyball and swimming.

Olivia showed an unconditional love to everyone; will be remembered by her loving hugs and will always be her mama’s Llama Llama.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M., Friday evening, March 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

Olivia is survived by her mother, Heidi Marie McBurney of Raleigh; father, Richard Eric McBurney of Corpus Christi, TX; grandparents, David & Lynn San Filippo of Orlando, FL, Kenneth & LaDonna Wade of Raleigh and Doris McBurney of Corpus Christi, TX; aunts & uncles, Jenny Wade of Alexandria, VA, James San Filippo & wife Tonya, Rachel Lynn San Filippo, Michael San Filippo & wife Elizabeth all of Orlando, FL; cousins, Zachary James San Filippo, Jackson Maverick San Filippo and Leigha Cait San Filippo; godparents, Robert & Katie Moore and their son, Camden of Apex; her special cat Cooper Cat.

The family asked that everyone pray for the driver, his family and the witness’s of this tragic event.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Special Olympics of Wake County, c/o Brian Philpot, 2401 Wade Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27607.
