RALEIGH — A William Peace University student was charged with indecent exposure Tuesday afternoon after three people walking past the school told police they saw a naked man in a dormitory window.
Christopher Vincent Sumrell, 21, of 2511 Bryarton Village Way in Raleigh was charged with three counts of indecent exposure, a misdemeanor, based on the complaints of two men and woman, none of whom were associated with the college, said police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
Police arrested Sumrell at his dorm on Halifax Street, Sughrue said. Sumrell was being held Wednesday in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Sumrell was convicted of indecent exposure in Wake County in August and was sentenced to probation, according to state criminal records. A little more than two weeks later, Sumrell was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and again sentenced to probation.
