Buxton/Hatteras

Cape Lookout/Bogue Inlet

Topsail Island

Weather in the area has kept most anglers off the beaches, but speckled trout and flounder can be found in the inlets. Contact: East Coast Discount Tackle 910-328-1887, eastcoastsports.com.

Freshwater

Falls Lake

L argemouth bass are biting on jerkbaits at deep depths. Catfish have been reported at deeper depths on chicken livers and night crawlers. Water level: normal 251.5, Wednesday 251.86, full pool 264.8. Contact: Outhouse Tackle 919-217-0085; wmi.org.

Kerr Lake
