Flawed logic
I can’t help but see the irony in Republicans pressing for passage of voter ID laws despite reliable statistics placing the rate of actual voter fraud in the virtually nonexistent range of .0002 percent of all votes cast, while from the other side of their mouths arguing against any kind of assault weapon or large-capacity magazine restrictions with the rationale that they are involved in a mere 1 percent of gun murders in this country.
Apparently, preventing an infinitesimally small number of fraudulent votes, which could not possibly influence the outcome of any election, is far more important than potentially saving the lives of 300 people every year.
