Young must be responsible
Regarding Ned Barnett’s March 10 column “Let’s bail out the young”: Why should people who have not planned for their future be rewarded, but those who have planned punished?
Families who sacrificed to make sure their children could obtain higher learning or those responsible individuals who worked their way through school should be included in Barnett’s “scheme”?
This is a typical example of lack of responsibility. If you obtain something – an education, a home, a new car, high credit card bill – you are responsible for it.. Do not ask me, the taxpayer and responsible citizen, to pay for someone else’s lack of good judgment. Lots of us are struggling, but the insanity of “a bailout” must stop.
